The VSBG, enacted in April 2017, creates the first nationwide range of arbitration centres in Germany with uniform standards for the out-of-court settlement of disputes arising from consumer contracts. As an instrument of state law, it has a <strong>paramount importance for the change or expansion of the conflict culture<\/strong> in Germany.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New law on alternative consumer dispute resolution in Luxembourg:\u00a0<\/strong>Luxembourg now also has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wort.lu\/de\/business\/konfliktloesung-zum-mediator-statt-vor-gericht-58332a535061e01abe83c79a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">own law<\/a> for the settlement of disputes involving consumers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wort.lu\/de\/business\/mediation-fuer-verbrauchergeschaefte-vom-parkticket-zum-mustang-592850f2a5e74263e13c07e3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">First experiences<\/a> have already been made. But of course there are also initial difficulties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mediation dispute?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The<\/span><strong> Section 18 of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG) provides for <\/strong><span style=\"font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">stipulates that a consumer dispute can also be settled by way of mediation. This refers to mediation as defined by the <\/span><strong>Mediation Act of 2012 <\/strong><span style=\"font-family: lato, helvetica neue, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">outlined above.
